Dr. Tyrrell has lectured on Christotherapy at universities, in
parishes, at retreat centers and to physicians, nurses, spiritual
directors, counselors, and lay people. Presently, he is a professor
of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Gonzaga University, Spokane,
Washington. He teaches Christotherapy and is developing what in
effect will be Christotherapy III. He is also working out course
offerings and lectures for presentation on the Internet. He is a
member of the Society of Jesus, a tax exempt order, and does not
profit from the sales of books, course presentation, or donations
offered in support of the development of Christotherapy.
According to Dr. Tyrrell, Christotherapy is a work in process.
Though the core ideas and methods described in the first two books (Christotherapy
published in 1975 and Christotherapy II in 1982) remain valid, there
are issues touched upon in the two books that are dated and in need
of additional clarification /modification. Still, Christotherapy has
remained in print in the United States or other countries for the
last quarter of a century. And now, the Internet will bring
knowledge of Christotherapy to a world wide audience that is
increasing exponentially day by day.
