CHRISTOTHERAPY

Christotherapy is born of the author's personal struggles with emotional issues, addiction and the needs each person experiences to grow daily in ever richer dimensions of healing and ever higher levels of integration. The author of Christotherapy is now also dealing with multiple sclerosis. The methods of Christotherapy have proved invaluable in dealing with this disease. The experience of this disease has also opened the author to the whole world of the physically as well as emotionally and spiritually challenged.

Christotherapy is the healing and life-giving power of the Word made flesh. In the belief system of the author, there is the conviction that the Spirit of God is at work everywhere in the world in all human beings and that individuals of diverse belief systems are able creatively to adapt in varying degrees the methods of Christotherapy in ways congruent with their belief systems.

Christotherapy is not a Pollyanna or magical approach which promises that all suffering will vanish from a person's life through the utilization of certain methods. But the hope of Christotherapy is that as we deal with our particular, person-specific sufferings we will not continue to deal with the old problems in the old ways, but that we will ascend in a Spirit-guided spiral of transcendence in which we deal with old problems in new ways and become ever more free in reference to whatever afflictions we experience.

What is at the very core of Christotherapy is an acknowledgment of Christ as Healer and of the transformative work of the Holy Spirit in all who are open to the inspirations of the Spirit. Whatever blessing have come or come to individuals through the mediation of Christotherapy are due not to the author of Christotherapy or his books but to the Holy One from whom every good and perfect gift proceeds in an abundance that surpasses all our hopes and dreams.

It is the prayer and hope of the author that the Divine Source of all creation will pour out blessings in abundance on all who are open to the healing grace and transformative inspirations of that Divine Spirit, always more present to each of us in the depths of our hearts and minds than we are to ourselves.
