The common denominator would be a very good thing (what could I never do later if I don't do it now?), also, what you would really like to do even! (You are created in such a way that a certain choice fulfills you). Or, you could choose the most difficult and painful (St. John of the Cross - I don't exactly understand this but choose my college courses this way). Otherwise I would have majored in geology instead of chemistry!


Anyway, you wouldn't want to travel back and forth too much, I suppose. Maybe agree to do a "cluster" of courses in a limited time period each day but let everyone know you have too many important things to do to be teaching four courses - make yourself valuable and desirable. Then hope they don't find someone more agreeable!


Maybe ask Fr. Tyrrell what he would do in this situation as he has so much experience in how the academic world works. If not for himself in this exact situation, for how it worked for others.
