One might wonder if Christotherapy is or can be a self-help program. Certainly both Christotherapy books can point out pathways to greater freedom and wholeness and holiness that one might see the value of and come to desire and subsequently try to emmulate or to incorporate into one's life. Alas, here is the catch; often what we see as an ideal or even a better path, we are incapable of following. And still, just knowing our inabilities is to make progress as then we have the free-er choice of looking for help; here, Christotherapy can also aid us by pointing out where help can be sought and how to gain this help.

So, from helping one to gain insight into what one needs, to showing the way to meet these needs, Christotherapy could be considered self-help at least to the extent that it helps the self to get the help needed for more freedom, wholeness, and holiness of one's life. Concrete examples are presented to be emmulated, including the author's own struggles with difficulties that one might also being passing through or stuck in; so, we see that there is a way and a way out of difficulties - there is hope to be seen. The Christotherapy books can only be a positive to anyone who digs into them.  Christotherapy is way of life and living based upon the insights and visions of a great mystic and saint who passed on his way to disciples who follow this method which leads to greater freedom and wholeness and holiness. The Christotherapy books can be  self-help  sources insofar as they instigate one's first steps on this path!
